Tiaras at the Palace in Miami Beach

I hope you all accessed Mrs. Astor's Blog to read her account of this wonderful party that was held at The Palace Bar on Ocean Drive in Miami Beach. We all thank our dear friend, the Countess duBarry, for her wonderful hospitality. It was an occasion to remember!

The night before the party, I met up with the officers of the U.S. Gridley, a new warship that was in port to be commissioned. We were all having dinner at the the Hosteria Romana on Ocean Drive.

The next day the Countess duBarry and I posed in front of all the tiaras that she had made for the party.

No royal occasion would be complete without the exchange of gifts. The Northern Court presented Mrs. Astor with a token of our esteem.

The town floozie made an appearance. Sean in drag was delightfully unrespectable.

The boys of the 7th Calvary were in attendance to make sure that no peasants revolted while the festivities were going on. Mark, Will, Jeremy, Riley, and Andy make very handsome guards indeed.

Bob was properly horrified to be holding my breast while Terry looks amused. A gay man's nightmare!!

A good time was had by all!
