Lenox Village has a party.....

(You can click on the map to enlarge it.)

Once in a great while The Countess ventures outside during the day. The sunlight is blinding and usually there is some walking involved but even The Countess must mingle with the peasants occasionally and spread good will among the people.

This past weekend was a Country Fair sort of day in the town of Lenox. I'm not sure exactly what the festive occasion that was being celebrated. Maybe it was just because it was a beautiful fall day in New England; you know the kind.....70 degrees, dry air, sunshine, the harvest is in and the crops were good....that kind of day.

At any New England festival you will see some antique cars which have been lovingly restored....

There was food....

Safari Rides....

A One Man Band outside my favorite silver shoppe (stop in there for a good deal on beautiful silver jewelry).....

Most stores had their sale merchandise displayed on the sidewalks....

Of course in Red Sox Nation, no Yankee fans allowed....

The crowds seemed to be having a wonderful time sampling clam and corn chowders, homemade pies and other baked goods, taking chances on the many raffle tickets being sold for worthy causes, and just enjoying the camaraderie of small town New England. The Countess found some bargains including a fabulous hat and a few antique rings to add to her collection.
