The Royal Family and the Red Sox

Sometimes it is hard to separate the Countess' Royal Family and the Red Sox Nation that we live in. Tonight the Grand Duke arrived and we went off to visit the Principe and his family. Of course all conversation centered around the big game tonight against the Cleveland Indians. The Grand Duke has been invited to attend Saturday night's game at Fenway Park IF the Red Sox win tonight. So there was a lot at stake. One of the Royal Sons lives in Colorado. They are already in the World Series. Will it end up being a Royal Jousting Match between the Colorado Son and the Massachusetts Son? The Countess is biting her fake fingernails!!!

After leaving the Principe's Palace, we stopped in at the local watering hole to quench our thirst and get a bite to eat. How were we to know that two Patriot's cheerleaders were in attendance?

The place was packed to capacity and the Red Sox were ahead 2 to 1 so the general mood was pretty upbeat. Add to that the fact that the whole bar was packed with people who probably are movie stars in their other lives.....The Countess was very impressed with the beauty of the patrons, both male and female.

I did manage to have a chat with Scott, the hunky bouncer who was guarding the Patriots Cheerleaders. He is a doll!!
It is always a treat to watch a baseball game with the Grand Duke. You might recall that he has played baseball since he was knee high to a grasshopper and was the captain of the baseball team at both his private prep school and his college. He brings such insight to the game from the perspective of an experienced pitcher. He is moving to the Orlando area soon and will be playing baseball for a team in that area.

Josh Beckett pitched a heck of a game with a 96 mile an hour fast ball and a curve ball that defies definition and brought the win in. Two more games to go but they are back in Fenway Park, the land of magical sprites and fairies. As Tinkerbell lived because children believed; then so do the Red Sox win games.

Then it might be the Royal Family Rivalry of the Century.....The Colorado Rockies vs. The Boston Red Sox! Which son will emerge victorious?
