New York State of Mind....

Almost two weeks ago The Countess was in New York City to attend Our Hit Parade at Joe's Pub. We had made a reservation for 16 for the party. Matt and Travis met me at the chinese place down the street and then we walked up to the Pub to get our table.

Ryan, Stephanie, and Joe were already there....

Arne and Sarah joined us.....

Daiva flew in from Florida and took a taxi right from the airport to Joes! Several others came in and sat at the Royal table in the corner. We were there to see Bridget Everett and gang do their crazy stuff and be royally entertained. You can be assured that you will have plenty of laughs at the Our Hit Parade show!

Bridget started out with clothes on...

But that changed quickly!!! She can belt out a song with or without her dress!!

Jenn Harris brought a blow up man to assist her in her act. I can't remember what song she sang, I only know that I was laughing so hard, I couldn't hear her anyway!

After her act, she came and sat at our table......

And here is Trapper Felides with the Countess. Yes, he is wearing a turkey on his head!

Corey Tut sang his fantastic rendition of Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" and so many others gave great performances. Our Hit Parade....don't miss it!!

The next night was SHOWGASM at Ars Nova where Jenn performed her 'Shots' number....

Then it was the Varsity Interpretive Dance Squad (VIDS) performing their hit show. They won "Audience Favorite" for the AntFest so you can see them performing their act again on December 9th at Ars Nova.

The very handsome and sweet Tommy Schrider was The Countess' date for the evening.

Matt and Travis came with me too....

I also got to have lunch with Jessi Blue, see C.J. Wilson perform his role in the invited understudy rehearsal of 'A Steady Rain', attend Stephanie's housewarming party in Queens, and catch Carrie Fisher's show, Wishful Drinking. The Countess loves all her friends and.....

I love New York!

It is seasonal time to get tired of New York; it is in the 80,s here.
I had a great time seeing you and hanging out at Joe's Pub! Thanks for posting. Have a great time down south - I'll think of you as I shiver here.
