The Countess goes to a Keg Party!
The carrier pigeon delivered the missive to the North Tower at the Summer Palace:
"Kegger at Stew's house on Saturday night. 11 pm...ish"

Now you know The Countess hates to miss a party, so I sent my RSVP back and ordered the carriage brought round to the Palace gates.

Saturday night was a big night at the Berkshire Theatre Festival. Pageant Play was premiering at the Unicorn Theater and Candida was closing at the Main Stage Theater. Both shows were sold out and the place was packed.
Pageant Play is a very funny farce about the child pageant circuit. It was written by Matthew Wilkas and Mark Setlock and they also star as Bob and Bobby, two pageant coaches. Daiva Dupree and Jenn Harris round out the cast as two very different mothers trying to get the coveted Supreme Queen title for their little girls.

BTF is very much like a family and when you get involved there, you tend to see a lot of the same people each year. Kate Maguire, the Artistic Director, is an amazing manager and she has created such a welcoming atmosphere that these talented actors and technicians want to return each year. After the opening night performance there is always a little party and The Countess got to meet several cast members from a number of productions that are currently in rehearsal.
By then the magic hour of 11 pm...ish was approaching. As I neared the palatial residence of Sir Stew, First Knight of the Berkshires, the heralds announced my approach and Sir Stew rode out on his magnificent charger to greet me. After the obligatory exchange of royal gifts, I was ushered inside and the Kegger began!
Sir Stew and Sunshine led the conga line....

I got to meet Megan who was visiting from Connecticut....

Stephanie and Dale Marie were taking in the sights...

and even the Royal Cat found a spot under a table....

Thank you, Sir Stew! Another good time in the Fabulous Berkshires!
