The Grand Duke makes a visit among other things...
It's one of those freaky, rainy, summer days in New England. We have had gale force winds, hail, torrential rain, and even a downpour while the sun shone brightly. The Countess loves to take pictures on days like this. Here are some shots from the Castle Bedelia...
On the patio, Jose and his donkey are getting very wet, and there are no birds today in the birdbath.

Some signs on the arbor...

The wind chimes are silent in a sudden hush after the gale blew through...

The grounds are so lush you can hardly see the tennis court...

The side yard....

A close up of the maple tree with drops of rain shimmering on the leaves...

Last night the Grand Duke made a royal visit to the Castle and then we went out to dinner. For some reason we always end up in a bar???? Why is that?

The Principessa and the Grand Duke, Mother and Son....aren't they beautiful?

Here she picks a card, any card....

I don't remember what he did with that card but in the end he had a whole pyramid of cards.

And of course there is always a man behind the curtain.....Prince Troy.

Then Michael Allen Lowe played the guitar and sang for us. Here he is performing his rendition of Peter Sarstedt's "Where Do You Go To My Lovely".
"You talk like Marlene Dietrich, and you dance like Zizi Jeanmaire; your clothes are all made by Balmain and there's diamonds and pearls in your hair, yes there are"
